The Access Management project is responsible for overseeing overall access (both ingress and egress) of people and vehicles at the venues (stadiums) during the operational period.

The access management Volunteers will play an integral role in creating a safe and secure environment by supporting the  the on-site security team to validate entry processes. The Volunteers will also be responsible for troubleshooting in key areas of the venue and will provide general wayfinding information to all target groups to ensure a smooth and timely ingress and egress of the stadium

The Accreditation team provides accreditation devices that grant holders access to the stadium and/or defined areas within the venue. Different parties involved, such as referees, players, officials, media representatives, Volunteers, service providers, suppliers and sponsors, may receive different accreditation devices depending on their role.

Accreditation Volunteers in the accreditation centres are the first point of contact for people who require accreditation. They will welcome them and provide them with their personalised access cards, which will also be produced by the accreditation Volunteers.

The ceremonies project creates and implements ceremonies and entertainment programmes. The objective is to create a joyful atmosphere in the stadiums and provide a memorable experience, offering a warm and colourful welcome from UEFA and the host cities to the fans, teams and spectators.

Volunteers assist with the pre-match ceremonies (entertainment of fans inside and outside the stadium) and production (TV production, logistics) or as performers.

Within Event Legal Services project, the rights protection programme is aimed at tackling any unauthorised commercial association with UEFA’s events, including ambush marketers, counterfeiters, organised unauthorised ticket sellers and any other persons who try to profit from the reputation of UEFA’s events without contributing to its organisation.

UEFA believes that protecting its intellectual property rights is fundamental to maintaining the sustained growth of European football. If UEFA did not protect its rights, then the value and quality attached to the activities conducted by UEFA would diminish. The commercial entities to which UEFA grants exclusive association rights recognise that these rights are valuable assets, and the revenue that the commercial exploitation of rights generates is redistributed by UEFA in such a way as to promote the healthy and continuous development of professional, amateur and youth football throughout Europe.

The rights protection Volunteers will provide assistance to UEFA’s on-site RPP activities aiming to prevent unauthorised commercial activities (counterfeiting and ambush marketing) around the stadiums and at other key sites within the host city.

Event Transport project is responsible for the planning and delivery of transport services, in line with high-level standards required for guest and other stakeholders involved.

Volunteers are involved in the transportation office/fleet compound at airports, hotels and other venues to welcome guest.

The football and social responsibility project concentrates on social, environmental and economic priorities, and in particular on promoting a healthy lifestyle by implementing a no-tobacco (no-smoking) policy within stadiums and improving the accessibility of stadiums for disabled spectators.

Volunteers in this area will provide assistance to disabled spectators, promote the provision of audio-descriptive commentary services and inform spectators, staff and Volunteers of the stadium’s no-tobacco policy.

The Guest Management and Protocol project is responsible for the delivery of various levels of service to all UEFA VIP programme guests. The team is responsible for welcome services, venue operations in the UEFA VIP areas at all events, and all ticketing and protocol matters. The VIP programme is aimed at UEFA’s top target groups, such as the football family, commercial partners, the local organising committee, the teams competing, and government and royal representatives.

Guest management Volunteers will be the first and main point of contact for these guests and are essential for the smooth delivery of the guest experience. They will welcome guests at airports, hotels or stadiums, provide them with information about the matched and the host cities, and handle their questions and requests.

Hospitality Management team coordinates and manages the development, implementation and delivery of all on-site hospitality programmes (e.g. VIP, Finalists, Sponsors and Corporates). The team is also in charge of delivering catering services for staff, broadcasters, media representatives, Volunteers, youth programme teams and match officials, throughout the tournament on matchdays and non-matchdays

Volunteers will help with the organisational preparations and support the overall operations to ensure the best possible guest experience to the above defined populations.

Information and communications technology (ICT) delivers all communications and related services, as well as some hardware and specialised solutions and applications. ICT is responsible for the concept, set-up, operations. In addition, an IT and telecommunications network will be set up and maintained at every venue so that journalists and other personnel can enjoy the best possible working conditions.

Volunteers in this project have a variety of tasks: IT service and support for matchday operations, information desk and back office, venue set-up and operations. They will gain insights into key areas of a complex organisation that most people never see.

A successful Football Operations project will contribute greatly to the overall image of the competition and reflect positively on the quality of the match. The project team’s main task is to organise the match and all services related to the sporting aspects to the highest international level and according to UEFA regulations.

Volunteers assist the match director with the preparation and running of each match, including the official training sessions the day before the match. They will help set up the dressing rooms, competition areas and match material. Volunteers also take on various administrative tasks, including preparing and, if appropriate, attending meetings.

The Media Operations and Services team is responsible for providing media representatives with what they need to work at the stadium, including media accreditation and booking services, information services and access to the competing teams before and after the match in line with the competition regulations. The stadium will have its own media centre, media tribune, press conference room, mixed zone and pitchside positions.

Volunteers assist the Media Manager onsite, assisting in the mission of providing journalists, photographers and broadcasters with the best possible working conditions.

Mobility project is responsible of the delivery of the spectator journey in the Host City supporting the spectator client group and providing a range of services.

Volunteers are active at airports, the stadium last kilometre and the city centre and are engaged to support the movement of spectators between these transport hubs. They are managed by the Spectator Services Venue Manager. All members of the team are be trained to provide both directions and information.

Signage includes production and installation of all branding elements that form part of the stadium dressing as well as in some areas of the official hotels and airports.

The projects is in charge of decorating the stadium and producing printed material for all projects across the venue. It also implements the specific wayfinding concept and the signage rights delivery for the UEFA partners, especially LED pitch perimeter board advertising and media backdrops.

The Sponsorship Operations team is in charge of implementing operational projects aimed at delivering all the sponsorship rights of the marketing programme to UEFA’s commercial affiliates at high professional standards.

The focus of the Sponsorship Operations team is on leading the delivery of all sponsors’ rights at event-related sites and assisting them with the implementation of their on-site activities by preparing the relevant information, visits and meetings. The team’s role also includes responsibility for planning, internal recruitment and active on-site team training, as well as the organisation of the necessary logistics.

Volunteers will support by fulfilling office duties, monitoring the advertising-free zones and assisting sponsors with on-site activation programmes, as well as other on-site promotional activities around the stadiums.

The Technical services and overlay project manages the planning, provision and implementation of services and temporary infrastructure as requested by internal and, to some extent, external stakeholders to bridge the gap between the existing conditions at the venues and the greater requirements of a major sports event. Sub-projects within this area relate to power supply, water supply, temperature control, waste management, sound systems and giant screens, venue TV and radio frequencies, and temporary infrastructure

Ticketing project is based at the stadium and at the Ticket Collection Points.

Volunteers deals with customer queries and provide customer services in accordance with the ticketing policy and help to enhance the customer experience for the event.  They are essential to the delivery of the ticketing project and will often be the first point of contact for ticket holders.

Venue Management is in overall charge of what happens at the venue and, through the venue manager, has the authority to arbitrate if issues arise between projects at the stadium.

The Volunteer team supports the Venue Management and Project Management teams and the stadium owners and operators in the successful planning and implementation of the event.

The Venue Safety Operations team (VSOP) Volunteers assist the VSOP team and LOS colleagues in the monitoring and management of some aspects of the venue safety and security plans at the stadium during the operational period.

The VSOP Volunteers play an integral role through the undertaking of duties as defined in the match day operations plan, as well as translation services in creating a safe and secure environment by assisting the on-site safety and security team to validate existing processes and identify any gaps.

All Volunteers-related activities are planned and implemented by the Volunteer Management team. This project will look after the Volunteers and ensure that everything runs smoothly on a daily basis. It will also deal with training, role allocation, the Volunteer Centre, catering and the Volunteer culture.

Volunteer will assist in all aspect related to the Volunteer Programme management, ensuring this experience will be an unforgettable one for all participants.
